“Electro-Therapy massage was well worth it and something completely new! I love trying out new massage styles and was in Knoxville for a quick trip. Since this was my first travel in awhile I was really feeling the effect of sitting on the plane, and as I was a day early decided to get my back and shoulders worked on.

Healing Hands has online booking where I was quickly able to verify availability and confirm an appointment without having to call around. There were a lot of options involving electric treatments so I decided to take a chance and try one out. I pre-completed a health form online and arrived without problem, and their location has plenty of parking.

I filled in another quick form and had a pleasant chat with the receptionist while waiting for my session. The interior is very nice and relaxing. I really wasn't sure what to expect but met my masseuse Sharon and heard her setting up some equipment after I had got prepped.

So, the electro-therapy is outstanding! If you've ever seen or used the muscle stimulation systems for therapy, it's like that. There is a very mild current of electricity that at its lightest feels like a little tingle and when Sharon presses causes the muscles to kind of twitch. Somewhere in-between it feels like the pins-and-needles sensation you get after one of your limbs goes to sleep.

The crazy thing is that she's got one part of the system attached to herself so the current is flowing through her hands whenever she is working on you! Science!!

I've never seen anything like it and it adds a new level to the massage. It really feels great on your muscles and gets at those deep muscles and tension. Sharon's regular technique is fantastic anyway but I really recommend trying out this option. She also has some natural ointments you can try that are kind of like tiger balm or icy-hot on steroids. Not for the highly sensitive!

I wish we had something like this in Denver and if I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely be returning. Highly recommended!!!”
